Scrap Hijack

Never have I so ruthlessly copied another scrapper's LO, but Susan Eaton's following LO really spoke to me: http://www.knkclub.com/Store/MyAccount/Gallery/View/17958.html

I 100% copied that bad boy and inserted different photos. Susan, please take it as a compliment because I only did it because it was awesome. But it wasn't like I went out and got different papers or anything. I wanted that LO in my book, and now I have it:

Remember, all credit goes to Susan Eaton. I cannot stress that enough.

Making magic

Got a little of stuff done. Heather has me inspired to try and use BG stash, so I keep trying but this one sucked. There was a sketh in their newsletter I was trying to use, but I butchered it.

Also, needed a card for Mom's birthday next weekend, so I used up the rest of that MM paper

Walking around in a coma

I mean, that's the only way I could have left my home like this:

Unfortunately, I didn't realize I had done this until I was retrieving my shoes at day care. I went to put them back on after dropping Dylan off and realized they were entirely different. I wonder what the person who left before me thought. Oh well.

KNK Crop: Day 3 Finale

It's the last day of the crop and my last chance to get some real scrapping done before having to hit the grind again tomorrow. Here's what I have to show for it:

KNK Crop: Day 2 - at Heather's

Well, after spending yesterday continually bathing the yellow liquid poo kid, I decided he was Jason's reponsibility. I went up to Heather's to crop with Sabrina, Shana and Rita as we had been planning for months. Shana and Rita were new to our mix, but it was a super fun day and everyone might as well have already been buds. Colleen sent cookies to Heather's in time for the crop and for that we loooove her.

I woke up not knowing how long I would stay since we were supposed to go out for Andrea's birthday dinner. With Dylan sick, we wouldn't be making it so we had to cancel. After assessing my poo kid's situation, I sat to scrap and came up with these:

Then I went to Heather's and completed the following:

That was it for the night. Except a whole lot of this...

KNK Crop: Day 1

My crop's a semi flop. Dylan has been sick since yesterday and had to stay home with me. After I cried and threw things over the fact that the day I had planned on having as my day was officially poop and puke day, I managed to squeak out four pages. There should have been 10, but like I said, poop and puke.

Impending crop...

The KNK crop is this weekend and the anticipation is killing me! I have made these as little favors for the girls:

The template is available at this site:
http://www.thescrapbookstand.com/instructions/sept_box.pdf
which a very nice Pea sent me (she will remain anonymous to protect her reputation, not because I don't love to credit people)

Happy early Valentine's

Dinner was yum yum in my tum tum. We went to the Melting Pot with the Trahans and the Kellers and it was awesome. I paced myself so that I didn't make myself sick alas I was not. I brought valentines:

The weekly challenge went much better with cards, so that was nice to see. I need to rush off to make Andrea a bday card, so ta-ta!

Thumbs up

I did the weekly challenge and a crappy job at that. Sometimes challenges free my mind and then sometimes they simply challenge me and today I was just challenged.

Countdown to dinner has begun, as we are going to have our romantic 6-way Valentine's Dinner at Melting POt with Heather and Brent and Sabrina and Shaun. Can hardly wait! Also will try to go to the cursed Mad Potter to get Heather's piggy...

One more for the road

Another BG to further deplete my supply...

Layne, Kolby and Dylan hanging like homies. I can hardly wait to pick up them up from prison one day. Oh yes, things to look forward to...

Smile for me daddy

You wanna see my what?

I just wanted to state for the record how grossed out I get by Grillz. Jason and I were cracking up listening to Nelly and Paul Wall's "Grillz" and it reminded me all over about how much grillz gross me out. When I watch MTV and I see them cheesing for the camera "looking like I've been chewing aluminum foil" (ick), I truly want to retch. Ewwww.

King of the Jungle

I did a quickie LO with Basic Grey Skate Shoppe just to remind myself just how inadequate I am when it comes to using BG. I refuse to buy anymore until I make something impressive with it, though I guess in all fairness the BG site was willing to put like 3 of my BG LO's on there, though I have my theories that they will take nearly anything. Anywho:

This is the prized loincloth Dylan wore when he was trying to recover from a rash caused by someone using a Wetwipe instead of Baby Wipe on his bum bum. Looked like his tush was scoured with an SOS pad, and he seemed to feel the same way. He also had the cha cha's, so he was dancing naked on the mat happily all the while spreading his liquid brown magic around. There is a hidden tag behind the title with a photo of him smiling with his loincloth on.

Samberg + Parnell = Crazy Delicious

Sure it is weeks later since the SNL "Lazy Sunday" short aired, but I thought I'd put this on my blog because "crazy delicious" is the "it" phrase right now. Jason found an awesome Gmail thing where they made reference to it and I laughed at the joke all over again.

Below is the link to the video, from our friends at Google Video, CollegeHumor.com and of course SNL. All worship at the alter of Chris Parnell, his raps always crack me up and Adam Samberg officially replaces Jimmy Fallon as cute, funny guy (but has that nerdy cute quality which might be better and he is funnier, sorry Fallon)

And for the superbowl commercials, if you give a hoot...

Enjoy!

Where there is a Will

Just threw this together this evening, wanted to use a really simple pattern of paper so it wouldn't compete with the pics. Using some old stash to make room for new, and as always excuse the crooked picture. I am too pooped today to do much else, so I am going to bed now.

Blue Pig

Yay! My masterpiece is complete. I stopped by Mad Potter on the way to Heather's for the Superbowl to pick up all of our stuff. It was supposed to be done after 5 yesterday but today they told me Heather's wouldn't be done until Tuesday or Wednesday - what crud. We have officially put Mad Potter on our "To boycott" list and will always go to Mudpies in Kingwood instead.

Mine was done and wouldn't you know I only had to glance at the rack to find my stellar thing. I put the book in the photo because a lot of people still don't seem to know who Blue Dog is:
'

Weenie Man

I love these pics of Dylan even though they are so blurry. I turned off the flash because I like the natural light and he was so giggly. The weenie dog is an unofficial member of the family, we like to include him in family shots. Dylan's last pic with the weenie was probably his homecoming pics.

What's up with the Foofala rubons you might ask - I know. The words are super cute as are the flowers, but what is up with the bird poo splatters? Pp's are Rhonna Farrer

Pickled pink

The pickled...

and the pink...

We had a nice burger lunch at MIL's Saturday where the pickles were served. It totally looked like a tongue so I could not resist the temptation to stick it out. Clearly I care more about making everyone laugh than about posting complimentary pics of myself! The LO is for Liz's Weekly Challenge as well as the DW Week 4 Challenge. It was simple since the DW LO sample was so easy and inspiring.

Fun fact, that picture is where I got my avatar cropped from. Just cut out DH and voila!

I'll trade you two boodles for a Brandy

I finished my trading cards for the KNK swap, and they turned out a-ok. I think that they will be a valuable commodity very soon. Here it is:

Just kidding! Like I would ruin the surprise for all the boodles when they open their mail! I do like that picture, it is like the one in the yearbook for the guy who missed class pictures because he was in rehab or something.
